New Balance Numeric 480 High's Straight From '83!

New Balance Numeric 480 High White Red

In 1983 Michael Jordan was featured in Life Magazine for a photo that would serve as the inspiration for the iconic Nike Jumpman Logo, but funny enough MJ wasn't wearing Nike's, Both the Jordan 1 and the Nike Dunk wouldn't debut until 1985. Jordan was pictured skying in a pair of New Balance 480's a basketball shoe first released in 1983. Like other b-ball shoes the 480's were adopted by skaters because they could withstand all the abuse we put them through. The 480 became  especially popular in the UK with numerous photos in RAD magazine throughout the 1980's. Recently New Balance Numeric has re-engineered this heritage basketball shoe to meet the needs of today's skateboarders. The New Balance Numeric 480 High features a buttery white full grain leather upper, articulated heel cuff, and a fuel cell midsole. The 480's go fast so don't sleep on these and lets see you create your own Jumpman photo.
